Grand Palace - 2

All over the place were statues of all sorts and types. Apparently lots of them were gifts from other countries.. here are some neat examples..

This first set was bright gold leading to the enterance to one of the temples...


These two were holding up a huge pyramid of gold, alongside a number of others stretching all the way around the entire base.

This reminded me of the dog from Ghost Busters.. in Stone.. hmm.. well.. at least that's what I thought at the time!
There were many many statues like this one all over the grounds. They guarded gates to different sections.. Buddha's that were on top of pedestals.. you name it.. you could find guys like this,
